This painting explores the longing for belonging. Luh'De still continues her investigation on the history of Bali, whether or not being on the island herself. As the saying goes, the grass is greener on the other side. The painting shows a very cropped version of the dance performance archive where Luh'De only took the gamelan player. This cropped method to her acts as a certain scene that keeps replaying in her mind, placing emphasis on the very specific nature of remembering itself.
