Anything that is physically shared remains generative because it depends on how the subject intends to immerse. And for this artworks Buru Bunyi 14440 is a manual instruction guiding you through a journey, leading to a listening point of a soundscape that will soon disappear in years. The work is a simple way of documenting my fondness for Jakarta and its stories in the past.
I made the work before everything in the city sinks into memory and ages. I want to share this experience with others, but the process to achieve 'the real composition' is not that simple."
