Present Presence

ISA Art Gallery presents Present Presence, a trio exhibition featuring A. Sebastianus, Chiara Hardy, and Chintia Kirana. The exhibition explores the coexistence of presence and absence within a space, considering how matter, form, and perception shape our experience of being. Through distinct yet intersecting practices, the artists examine how something can be both felt and intangible, immediate yet elusive.

Working with materials such as entangled and twisted cords, ash, fishing rods, light, and shadow, the exhibition foregrounds materiality as a site of inquiry. These elements occupy space in fragile and shifting ways, inviting viewers to linger and attune to subtle transformations. Within this field, meaning and conclusion does not assert itself, yet it emerges through presence, through sensing, and through the act of staying.
