Building on his earlier engagement with Barong as an archaeological rock later animated into a mythic figure, this work shifts toward the temple as a distinctly human act of monumentalizing. The materials are sourced from artifacts acquired through Western and Dutch auction systems, which he reclaims and recontextualizes. Through this gesture, the work becomes an attempt to return displaced objects “home,” reabsorbing them into a personal and cultural archive.
