The “50 Years Once More” series showcases Budi’s masterful imagination and vision. This series is a “sequel” from his previous series titled “Poem for Sisters”. Budi imagines what the two sisters in the “Poem for Sisters” series will be like in 50 years, showing both versions of the sisters to be wearing a Hanbok, a traditional Korean clothing. He questions whether the sisters would still be together and what nostalgia would the sisters tell to their children and grandchildren.

The two grandmothers shown in this series are street sweepers who Budi found. This has become his greatest challenge in making this series as he needs to be able to tell the grandmothers of the concept or story that he seeks to convey. Budi asserts “if their profession was a model, it would probably be much easier” as they would know what to do in an instant. He would direct both grandmothers in every step of the way. And the photographs turned out to be remarkable.
