Overview
Reza Aryanda Manggala Yudha (b.1994) well known as Reza Kutjh is a visual artist and archivist, living and working in Yogyakarta. Kutjh’s mostly works with photographic material by experimenting with a range of artistic mediums which intersect with archival practice, moving images, and printed matter. His artistic practice is deeply rooted in spatial memory, shifting space, and daily tactics—in relation to questioning fragility in humanitarian structure.
Kutjh’s held his second solo exhibition “Around The Wall That Stood Between Us”, Ruang MES 56, Yogyakarta (2025). His works and short films have been exhibited in recent years such as “OMAH” Titik Dua Ubud, Bali (2021); “Lahan Becek” with SOKONG!, GUDSKUL, Failed Architecture, and Research Center for Material Culture, Jakarta (2022); Jogja Fotografis Festival, Galeri RJ Katamsi, Yogyakarta (2023); “Feel Good Lab” 13th Indonesian Contemporary Art and Design, grandkemang, Jakarta (2023); 10th ARKIPEL “Noli Me Tangere” Jakarta (2023); Sydney Contemporary Carriageworks, Sydney (2023); “Dari Ruang-Yang Antara”, Indonesian Visual Art Archive, Yogyakarta (2024); Index Art Book Fair-Satelite Edition, Ca’Buccari, Venice (2024).
Currently, he actively doing visual research work and archive-based art projects at Unhistoried. With Unhistoried, he participated in several exhibition and residency programs, such as Tani Jiwo mini residency 2022, Dieng; and “Titen: Embodied Klnowledges-Shifting Grounds” Biennale Jogja 17 (2023); 2nd Jogja Fotografis Festival, Yogyakarta (2024).
