This artwork is a recent experiment developed from the Panen Apa Hari Ini (Pari) project, drawing from the history of the artist’s grandmother’s food stall and her cooking practices. Beyond recipes, the work explores the tradition of keeping an anti-tuyul talisman in warungs, made from everyday agricultural materials such as chili, garlic, pepper, adn glass. Rather tahan treating this practice as more superstition, the artwork frames it as a meaningul cultural practice that connects humans with other beings and forces. By revisiting a tradition often seen as outdates, the work invites relfection on non- human centered ways of thinking and highlights cultural practices as vital tools for maintaining ecological relationships.
