The artwork presents a scene featuring two seated statues that resemble traditional Javanese figures, set against the backdrop of ancient temple structures illuminated by the light of a full moon. The architecture is notable as Indonesian temple complexes such as Prambanan, which reflects the syncretic nature of Indonesian spirituality that incorporates elements of Hinduism and Buddhism.

The monochromatic palette, dominated by shades of grey, fosters a contemplative atmosphere, highlighting the solemnity and timelessness of the scene. The full moon, a recurrent motif in many cultures, symbolizes enlightenment and the passage of time.

The title ""Temple of Respect"" suggests a broader meditation on the importance of honoring and preserving the diverse spiritual legacies that have shaped Indonesian identity.
