My work stems from research into early history and landscapes that reflect human conditions at the dawn of civilization. My research examines early humanity’s collective pursuit of settlement, using dye and drying patterns to evoke feelings of rawness and instinct.

When artefacts and remnants of the past are unearthed, that part of the landscape takes on a new dimension. It becomes a site of interest, much like the objects themselves, which will be isolated, contained in boxes and labelled. We claim these objects as 'ours,' legacies of our kind, yet the soil and terrain cradled them far longer than any human hands ever did
