Same Shit (?) Different Day (?)" starts from two people doing a task in parallel. We don’t know who told them to do this - but it’s not fully out of their free will, not really. One of them could stop. The other person could also stop. Neither of them has to be there, neither of them really wants to do it. But they do it anyway.

The things we do from 9 to 5, from Monday to Friday, everyday except weekends and Public Holidays… are repetitive, menial, futile, excruciatingly and numbingly mundane. These days are made up of tiny acts that repeat over and over, which honestly can seem rather insignificant. But they do add up. Things are being moved, dirtied, affected, marked, delayed, interrupted. Acts accumulate and leave residues, even when we are just floating through life. And then suddenly we’re 59 - the age of supposed retirement. Whatever that means now, in this economy.

Yet, there is also always room for interruption, unnecessary gestures, and doing things just because you can.

Through a temporary action involving the rolling and unspooling of toilet tissue paper, we are looking at what happens when something continues. Not because it has to, but because, somehow, someone keeps doing something about it.
