This is based on a photograph Luh'De took during the Ogoh Ogoh parade (Balinese cultural event held on the eve of Nyepi to cleanse the community and banish evil forces before the new year). The blur and red light shift the scene away from documenting the parade to attempt to capture the feeling of a fleeting moment instead of a clear record. Luh'De is interested in how painting can hold onto these imperfect images where celebration, movement, and atmosphere become more important than details.
