Asha Murray is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Ireland who graduated from The Limerick School of Art & Design in 2023 with BFA in Sculpture and Combined Media. Asha creates experimental films alongside wool-tufted sculptures depicting everyday-in-between-moments, alongside the mundane objects we disregard. Concepts of memory, nostalgia, melancholy and consumption are all interwoven throughout her works.
Asha’s award-winning films (International Fresh Film Festival, 2016 & 2021) and artworks have been shown at K-FEST (2022) and collected by TUS, the OPW, and private collectors worldwide. In 2023, she held a residency at the National Sculpture Factory and exhibited at IMMA as a shortlisted artist for the RDS Visual Art Award.
Last year, ISA Art and Design partnered with the Embassy of Ireland to present Asha’s works, marking her introduction to the Southeast Asian art scene.
