One of Duchamp's most famous works is not a painting or sculpture, but a urinal for men. He named this work ""Fountain,"" and it was displayed at the Centre Pompidou in Paris, the largest modern art museum in Europe. What makes this urinal so special? Duchamp created the Fountain in 1917 and submitted it to the Society of Independent Artists' exhibition at the Grand Central Palace in New York.
