Sometimes things small things that we do every day are the things that keep us sane. These 5 things are what kept me sane when i was struggling with depression in 2020. Globally, more than 264 million people of all ages suffer from depression. In this modern age, mental health is taken more seriously by the younger generations.
The concept of this painting is to mimic the simulation in the sims. How the players need to make their sims do something so their needs won’t fall low. This logic also applies on how me as the painter (act as a god) who controls the objects on the canvas. Luh Gede used images from games and photographs to build the sketches first on the photoshop. The messy brushworks on some parts are how she translated the blurry lines between realities (the digital world and the real world we live in).
