These images are part of a series on meditation practices. In some schools of meditation, the
teacher uses diagrams or drawings commonly referred to as bubble graphs, to illustrate how
the mind works during mediation. In this series, the artist tries to imagine these different
mindspaces using images generated from signals and screens such as spectrograms of field
recordings of ocean waves, the artist’s mantra visualized, maps of underground submarine
cables, google image search results, and screen-captured cut outs of Van Gogh’s Roses
paintings. The different visual elements are rendered as digital negatives and later on collaged
Into cyanotypes.
