The southern coast of Java is an area that is prone to tsunamis, is closely related to myths, and has a long history. It has evolved spatial and temporal practices from the Dutch occupation period, which functioned as a sand mine and is currently a tourism patron. On The Shore focuses on a south coast ephemera of land stakes and the collective memory of a beach as a reflective form of terraforming and an archive for the future.Exhibitions
